Uponor closes the German acquisition

Uponor has today closed the acquisition of a majority holding of 50.3% in the German company Zent-Frenger Gesellschaft für Gebäudetechnik mbH, as announced on 4 March. The German competition office gave its approval on Wednesday, and the parties concluded the deal today.

Zent-Frenger develops, manufactures, and markets heating and cooling as well as geothermal technology solutions mainly for the public and commercial sectors of the market. With annual net sales of over €20 million, the company is one of the German market leaders in its field.

Uponor has an option to purchase the remainder of the company’s shares in 2012.
