Uponor streamlines manufacturing in Ireland

Uponor Corporation has made a decision to concentrate the manufacture of its
municipal infrastructure pipe systems for Ireland in conjunction with its
existing factory in Banbridge, Northern Ireland. The rationalisation of the
manufacturing network is part of the company's effort to streamline its
operations and develop its supply chain globally.

As a result, Uponor has signed a contract to sell its factory premises in Cork,
Ireland, to a local building company. The deal is planned to take place in the
final quarter of 2008. When completed, it will bring Uponor a sales gain of ca
EUR 18 million before taxes.

The Cork facility employs close to 60 persons, while the factory in Banbridge
has a staff of circa 100 employees.
