Uponor plans workforce reductions in Germany

In accordance with the company-wide cost reduction programme announced on 12
August, Uponor has initiated union negotiations in Germany with the purpose of
aligning expenses to the low activity level in the building and construction
industry in Europe. Uponor plans to reduce approximately 80 persons from its
Ochtrup-based units, 20 of which can be carried out through early retirement,
discontinuation of fixed-term contracts and other similar measures.
