Uponor targets growth and synergies with new European organisation
Uponor Corporation has today taken a further step in building a platform for
future growth by the announcement of a new European housing solutions
organisation with Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain separated into different
entities. The changes, which do not involve the Nordic Infrastructure or the
North American business, are effective from 1 October 2008.
The European region will comprise two area sales & marketing organisations:
North, South & West Europe and Central and Eastern Europe which also includes
international sales. The new Supply Chain organisation will be in charge of all
production, warehousing, logistics and sourcing activities in Europe.
A logical step in the company's drive towards One Unified Uponor, the new
structure is targeted to improve the business focus by improving the
utilisation of growth opportunities and increasing operational efficiencies and
Key personnel changes that will be implemented are as follows:
- North, South & West Europe area sales & marketing organisation will be lead
by Fernando Roses, currently EVP Uponor South West.
- Central and Eastern Europe area sales & marketing organisation will be lead
by Heiko Folgmann, currently EVP Uponor East & International.
- European Supply Chain will be headed by Sebastian Bondestam. He will also
continue to be responsible for the global Supply Chain development.
- Georg von Graevenitz, currently EVP Uponor Nordic, will assume the
responsibility for facilitating this organisational change. He will also retain
responsibility for the Nordic infrastructure business and will continue to lead
Group Marketing as today.
