Uponor's Capital Markets Day 11 December 2013

Today, 11 December, Uponor Corporation is arranging a Capital Markets Day, comprising a strategic update by the Group President and CEO Jyri Luomakoski, followed by presentations on each of the company’s business segments as well as sustainability as an important business driver for Uponor.

CEO Jyri Luomakoski will provide a view on the trends in Uponor’s key building and infrastructure markets. He will talk about the long-term strategies that the company has implemented in the past and show what strategies it focuses on to maintain strong performance and growth also in the ‘new normal’ low-growth markets.

President Bill Gray, Uponor North America will talk about Uponor’s business operations in the USA and Canada. For instance, he will explore how Uponor has been able to recover to pre-crisis performance levels by focussing on the commercial markets as well as on customer intimacy and stakeholder engagement. Next year will mark Uponor’s 30th anniversary in North America.

Sebastian Bondestam, President for Uponor Infra will discuss the integration, synergies and strategic direction of the new joint-venture company that was established in July 2013.

The topic of EVP, Sales and Marketing for Building Solutions – Europe, Heiko Folgmann focuses on innovation as a strategy to succeed in a flat market. He will take examples of business model innovation, product innovation and partnerships as ways to create customer value.

David Harget, CSR Manager, Uponor Group will talk about sustainability driving Uponor’s business and systems development. Sustainability is one of the strongest megatrends of recent times, as a result of which energy efficiency and savings have become key investment and business drivers in the building and real estate industries. Uponor is partnering with various building industry professionals in order to support the trend.
