Changes in Uponor’s European organisation

Uponor has introduced a new organisation, effective 1 April 2013, which is aimed at increasing the speed, agility and simplicity of its European operations. The changes mainly relate to the segment Building Solutions – Europe, which is based on a new functional structure as against the earlier, partly geographical distribution of responsibilities.

Heiko Folgmann is appointed Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Building Solutions – Europe. He will also assume responsibility for Group brand management. He was previously responsible for the Indoor Climate business group as well as sales and marketing in Central and Eastern Europe.

Fernando Roses is appointed Executive Vice President, Offering and Supply chain for Building Solutions – Europe. He will also assume groupwide responsibility for research and technology as well as sustainability. He was previously in charge of the Plumbing business group as well as sales and marketing in Northern and Southwest Europe.

“This change is a natural evolution and takes us forward in terms of driving synergies, yet maintaining the overall setup as it is. I trust it will enable us to put in new gear in succeeding in the ever-intensifying competition and the more volatile market environment” says President and CEO Jyri Luomakoski.

Sebastian Bondestam, until now Executive Vice President, Supply Chain is appointed Executive Vice President, Infrastructure Solutions. He will also continue to be responsible for the Group supply chain management and development.

The above persons continue to be members of the Executive Committee as before. In connection with these changes, Robin Carlsson, member of the Executive Committee and until now responsible for Infrastructure Solutions, will leave the company. All the other existing members of the Executive Committee continue in their current roles.
